The results of a new poll, sponsored SurveyUSA in Michigan, were released on April 17. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. The results reveal that 49.0% of participants plan to vote for the democrat Clinton, while 38.0% said they would vote for the republican Trump. The poll was conducted from March 23 to March 24 with 904 likely voters. The sampling error is +/-3.3 percentage points.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 56.3% for the democrat Clinton and 43.7% for the republican Trump.
