Michigan: Democrats tied with Republicans in latest poll results
The results of a new poll, conducted by FOX 2 Detroit/Mitchell in Michigan, were published on April 25. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. According to the results, 42.0% of respondents plan to vote for the Democratic Party, while 42.0% plan to vote for the GOP. This poll was conducted from September 18 to September 18, among a random sample of 1483 likely voters. Figures have a +/-2.5 percentage points error margin.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 50.0% for the democrat Clinton and 50.0% for the republican Trump. The democrats did better by 5.0 percentage points in comparison to the average results of the other polls in Michigan.
