The results of a new poll, sponsored WWL-TV/Clarus in Louisiana, were released on April 25. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. The results reveal that 39.0% of respondents intend to vote for the democrat Hillary Clinton, while 47.0% said they would vote for Donald Trump. The poll was carried out between September 20 and September 23. The sample size was 800 registered voters.
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 45.4% for the democrat Clinton and 54.7% for the republican Trump.
