Latest Star Tribune/Mason-Dixon poll in Minnesota: Republicans trail by a moderate margin
The results of a new poll, conducted by Star Tribune/Mason-Dixon in Minnesota, were published on April 16. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. According to the results, 43.0% of participants intend to vote for the Democratic Party, while 38.0% intend to vote for the Republicans. This poll was conducted from January 18 to January 20, among a random sample of 800 registered voters. The error margin is +/-3.5 percentage points.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 53.1% for the Democrats and 46.9% for the Republicans. The vote share for the democrats is 1.7 percentage points under the average results of other polls in Minnesota.
