Latest NBC-WSJ-Marist poll in Iowa: Democrats hold clear advantage
The results of a new poll, conducted on behalf of NBC-WSJ-Marist in Iowa, were published on April 26. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. Of those who responded, 48.0% revealed that they are going to vote for the Democrats, while 40.0% revealed that they would give their vote to the Republicans. This poll was conducted from January 2 to January 7, among a random sample of 1470 registered voters. The error margin is +/-2.6 percentage points.
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 54.6% for the democrat Hillary Clinton and 45.5% for the republican Donald Trump.
