Results of a new poll conducted by Mercyhurst University were circulated on April 26. The poll asked participants from Pennsylvania for whom they would likely vote if the Democratic Party nominated Hillary Clinton and the Republican Party nominated Donald Trump.
According to the results, 43.0% of interviewees plan to vote for the Democrats, while 35.0% plan to vote for the Republicans. The poll was conducted from March 1 to March 11 with 421 registered voters. The sampling error is +/-4.8 percentage points. Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 55.1% for the Democrats and 44.9% for the Republicans.
