Results of a new poll carried out by Fort Hays St. University were published on April 16. Participants from Missouri were asked, who they would give their vote to, if the election were today. According to the results, 38.0% of interviewees intend to vote for the Democratic Party, while 43.0% intend to vote for the Republican Party. The poll was conducted from March 3 to March 10 among 475 adults. The margin of error is +/-4.6 percentage points.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 46.9% for the democrat Hillary Clinton and 53.1% for the republican Donald Trump. The republicans did better by 1.1 percentage points in comparison to the average results of the other polls in Missouri.
