Latest Emerson poll in Wisconsin: Democrats with clear advantage
The results of a new poll, conducted by Emerson in Wisconsin, were released on April 26. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. Of those who responded, 47.0% said that they will vote for the democrat Hillary Clinton, whereas 37.0% indicated that they would give their vote to Donald Trump. This poll was conducted from March 30 to April 3, among a random sample of 1198 likely voters. Results have a +/-2.8 percentage points error margin.
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 56.0% for Hillary Clinton and 44.1% for the republican Donald Trump. The democrats did better by 0.5 percentage points in comparison to the average results of the other polls in Wisconsin.
