Iowa: Small lead for Democrats in recent PPP (D)PPP (D) poll
On April 17, PPP (D)PPP (D) released the results of a new poll, in which respondents from Iowa were asked for whom they would vote if the parties' nominees were Hillary Clinton for the Democrats and Donald Trump for the Republicans.
Of those who responded, 45.0% said that they are going to vote for the Democrats, while 43.0% declared that they would give their vote to the Republicans. The poll was carried out between December 10 and December 13. The sample size was 1426 registered voters. Results have a +/-2.6 percentage points sampling error. Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 51.1% for the Democrat Clinton and 48.9% for the Republican Trump.
