Results of a new poll conducted by NBC-WSJ-Marist were published on April 16. Participants from Iowa were asked, who they would give their vote to, if the election were today. The results reveal that 48.0% of participants will vote for Clinton, whereas 40.0% said they would vote for the republican Trump. The poll was carried out from January 2 to January 7 with 1470 registered voters. Figures have a +/-2.6 percentage points sampling error.
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 54.6% for the democrat Hillary Clinton and 45.5% for Donald Trump.
