Iowa: Lead for Democrats in new PPP (D) poll
The results of a new poll, conducted by PPP (D) in Iowa, were released on April 2. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. According to the results, 45.0% of respondents plan to vote for the Democratic Party, while 43.0% plan to vote for the Republicans. The poll was in the field between December 10 and December 13. The sample size was 1426 registered voters. Estimated have a +/-2.6 percentage points sampling error.
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 51.1% for the democrat Clinton and 48.9% for Trump.
