Results of a new poll conducted by NBC-WSJ-Marist were published on April 17. Participants from Iowa were asked, who they would give their vote to, if the election were today. Of those who answered the question, 48.0% said that they plan to vote for the democrat Hillary Clinton, whereas 40.0% declared that they would give their vote to the republican Donald Trump. The poll was carried out from January 2 to January 7 with 1470 registered voters. The margin of error is +/-2.6 points.
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 54.6% for Clinton and 45.5% for Trump.
