Illinois: Democrats hold very clear advantage in latest NBC-WSJ-Marist poll
The results of a new poll, conducted by NBC-WSJ-Marist in Illinois, were published on March 31. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. The results reveal that 57.0% of respondents intend to vote for Democratic party, whereas 32.0% said they would vote for the Republicans. This poll was conducted from March 4 to March 10, among a random sample of 1968 registered voters.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 64.0% for the democrat Clinton and 36.0% for the republican Trump.
