Georgia: New TEGNA/SurveyUSA poll shows Republicans leading
The results of a new poll, sponsored TEGNA/SurveyUSA in Georgia, were released on April 23. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. Of those who answered the question, 41.0% said that they are going to vote for the Democrats, while 50.0% indicated that they would give their vote to the Republicans. The poll was carried out between February 22 and February 23. The sample size was 1261 likely voters. The error margin is +/-2.8 percentage points.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 45.1% for the democrat Clinton and 55.0% for the republican Trump.
