Missouri: Advantage for Republicans in new Fort Hays St. University poll
The results of a new poll, conducted by Fort Hays St. University in Missouri, were published on March 30. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. Of those who responded, 38.0% said that they would vote for Clinton, whereas 43.0% declared that they would give their vote to Trump. The poll was conducted between March 3 and March 10. The sample size was 475 adults. The margin of error is +/-4.6 points.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 46.9% for Hillary Clinton and 53.1% for Donald Trump. In comparison to the average results of other polls in Missouri The republicans did better in this poll.
