Florida: New Quinnipiac poll shows Democrats in the lead
Results of a new poll conducted by Quinnipiac were released on April 17. Participants from Florida were asked, who they would give their vote to, if the election were today. The results show that 46.0% of respondents will vote for Democratic party, whereas 41.0% said they would vote for GOP. The poll was conducted between September 25 and October 5. The sample size was 1173 registered voters. Results have a +/-2.9 percentage points margin of error.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 52.9% for the democrat Clinton and 47.1% for Trump. The vote share for the democrats is 1.6 percentage points under the average results of other polls in Florida.
