Emerson poll in Wisconsin: Democrats are in the lead
The results of a new poll, sponsored Emerson in Wisconsin, were published on April 9. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. Of those who answered the question, 47.0% said that they intend to vote for the democrat Hillary Clinton, while 37.0% revealed that they would give their vote to the republican Donald Trump. This poll was conducted from March 30 to April 3, among a random sample of 1198 likely voters. The error margin is +/-2.8 percentage points.
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 56.0% for the Democrats and 44.1% for the Republicans. The vote share of the democrats corresponds to the average results of the other polls in Wisconsin.
