The results of a new poll, conducted by Emerson in Wisconsin, were published on April 2. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. The results show that 47.0% of interviewees plan to vote for Democratic party, whereas 38.0% said they would vote for the Republicans. This poll was conducted from March 20 to March 22, among a random sample of 922 likely voters. The sampling error is +/-3.2 points.
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 55.3% for the democrat Clinton and 44.7% for Trump. The democrats did better by 0.3 percentage points in comparison to the average results of the other polls in Wisconsin.
