Democrats lead in Pennsylvania by 8 points in new Mercyhurst University poll
Results of a new poll conducted by Mercyhurst University were published on April 16. Participants from Pennsylvania were asked, who they would give their vote to, if the election were today. The results reveal that 43.0% of participants will vote for Democratic party, whereas 35.0% said they would vote for the Republicans. The poll was conducted from March 1 to March 11 with 421 registered voters. The error margin is +/-4.8 percentage points.
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 55.1% for the democrat Clinton and 44.9% for the republican Trump. The vote share for the democrats is 1.7 percentage points under the average results of other polls in Pennsylvania.
