Democrats lead in Pennsylvania by 8 points in latest Mercyhurst University poll
Results of a new poll conducted by Mercyhurst University were published on April 11. Participants from Pennsylvania were asked, who they would give their vote to, if the election were today. Of those who responded, 43.0% said that they plan to vote for the democrat Hillary Clinton, while 35.0% said that they would give their vote to Donald Trump. The poll was carried out from March 1 to March 11 among 421 registered voters. The error margin is +/-4.8 points.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 55.1% for the democrat Hillary Clinton and 44.9% for Donald Trump. The democrats did worse by 1.7 percentage points in comparison to the average results of the other polls in Pennsylvania.
