On April 17, PPP (D)PPP (D) released the results of a new poll, in which respondents from Ohio were asked for whom they would vote if the parties' nominees were Hillary Clinton for the Democrats and Donald Trump for the Republicans.
According to the results, 45.0% of participants plan to vote for Clinton, while 40.0% plan to vote for Trump. The poll was carried out from March 3 to March 4 with 1248 registered voters. Estimated have a +/-2.8 percentage points sampling error.
Other survey prognoses
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 52.9% for the Democrat Clinton and 47.1% for the Republican Trump. The Democrats did worse by 0.7 percentage points in comparison to the average results of the other polls in Ohio.
