The results of a new poll, conducted on behalf of Merrill in Arizona, were released on April 12. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. Of those who responded, 38.0% revealed that they intend to vote for Hillary Clinton, while 38.0% indicated that they would give their vote to the republican Donald Trump. The poll was conducted from March 7 to March 11 with 701 likely voters. Estimated have a +/-3.7 percentage points error margin.
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 50.0% for the Democrats and 50.0% for the Republicans.
