USA Today published the results of a new national poll. Of those who responded, 50.0% said that they intend to vote for the Democrats, whereas 39.0% revealed that they would give their vote to the Republicans. The poll was in the field between April 20 and April 24. The sample size was 1000 participants. Results have a +/-3.0 percentage points margin of error.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 56.2% for the democrat Hillary Clinton and 43.8% for the republican Donald Trump. In comparison to the average results of other polls The democrats did worse in this poll. In Comparison, the PollyVote currently anticipates the Democrats to win 53.4% of the two-party vote, which is 2.8 percentage points below their poll figures.
