The results of a new poll, conducted by WWL-TV/Clarus in Louisiana, were published on March 23. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. The results reveal that 39.0% of respondents are going to vote for Democratic party, whereas 47.0% said they would vote for GOP. The poll was conducted from September 20 to September 23 among 800 registered voters.
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 45.4% for the democrat Clinton and 54.7% for Trump. In comparison to the average results of other polls in Louisiana The republicans did worse in this poll.
