The results of a new poll, sponsored CNN-ORC in Ohio, were published on March 23. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. According to the results, 50.0% of respondents intend to vote for the Democratic Party, while 43.0% intend to vote for the GOP. This poll was conducted from March 2 to March 6, among a random sample of 884 registered voters. Results have a +/-3.5 percentage points sampling error.
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 53.8% for the Democrats and 46.2% for the Republicans.
