New York: Very clear advantage for Democrats in new PPP (D) poll
The results of a new poll, conducted on behalf of PPP (D) in New York, were published. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. Of those who responded, 55.0% revealed that they will vote for the Democrats, whereas 35.0% said that they would give their vote to the Republicans. The poll was conducted from April 7 to April 10 among 1403 registered voters. Figures have a +/-2.6 percentage points sampling error.
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 61.1% for the democrat Hillary Clinton and 38.9% for the republican Donald Trump. In comparison to the average results of other polls in New York The democrats did better in this poll.
