Republicans lead in Texas by 2 points in new Texas Lyceum poll
Results of a new poll carried out by Texas Lyceum were published on March 23. Participants from Texas were asked, who they would give their vote to, if the election were today. According to the results, 37.0% of interviewees plan to vote for the Democrats, while 39.0% plan to vote for the Republican Party. This poll was conducted from September 8 to September 21, among a random sample of 633 likely voters.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 48.7% for the Democrats and 51.3% for the Republicans. The republicans did worse by 7.8 percentage points in comparison to the average results of the other polls in Texas.
