Mercyhurst University poll in Pennsylvania: Democrats are in the lead
Results of a new poll conducted by Mercyhurst University were published on March 23. Participants from Pennsylvania were asked, who they would give their vote to, if the election were today. The results show that 43.0% of interviewees are going to vote for the democrat Clinton, whereas 35.0% said they would vote for the republican Trump. The poll was carried out from March 1 to March 11 with 421 registered voters. The error margin is +/-4.8 points.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 55.1% for Clinton and 44.9% for Trump. In comparison to the average results of other polls in Pennsylvania The democrats did worse in this poll.
