Wisconsin: Democrats with clear lead in new Emerson poll
The results of a new poll, sponsored Emerson in Wisconsin, were published. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. Of those who responded, 47.0% said that they plan to vote for the Democrats, whereas 38.0% said that they would give their vote to the Republicans. The poll was in the field between March 20 and March 22. The sample size was 922 likely voters. The error margin is +/-3.2 points.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 55.3% for the democrat Hillary Clinton and 44.7% for Donald Trump. The value for the democrats is identical to the average results of the other polls in Wisconsin.
