New NBC-WSJ-Marist poll in Illinois: Republicans trail by a very clear margin
Results of a new poll conducted by NBC-WSJ-Marist were released on March 23. Participants from Illinois were asked, who they would give their vote to, if the election were today. According to the results, 57.0% of participants plan to vote for the Democrats, while 32.0% plan to vote for the Republican Party. This poll was conducted from March 4 to March 10, among a random sample of 1968 registered voters.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 64.0% for Clinton and 36.0% for the republican Trump. The vote share for the democrats is 9.5 percentage points under the average results of other polls in Illinois.
